"This is the photo from my 3rd grade class photo. The year was 1967. I’m relatively certain that this was the first year our class picture was in color! There were not enough students to warrant having a 3rd and 4th grade class that year so they combined the two classes. Therefore, this photo is of the 3rd and 4th grade class at Fairview. The teachers name was something like Mrs. Bayou. The principal was Mr Herschbaumer. Spelling on those names is questionable. I believe that was the last year Mr Herschbaumer was the principal at Fairview. The following school term, 1968-1969, the principal was Mrs. Waddle.

My grandmother was Theresa Lostetter and she was born in 1892. She was the daughter of Jacob and Caroline Lostetter and they moved to the Overbrook (then Baldwin) area sometime between 1881 and 1900. Theresa is not in the 1895 picture. Her cousin Maggie Lostetter is in that photo.

Here’s the best I can come up with for names….

Theresa and her sister Carrie are in the photo that was taken around 1902. Carrie is in the front row fifth girl from either left or right. Theresa is the taller girl in the second row and she is the first girl starting from the right in the second row. She and her sister Carrie are wearing matching dresses. I'm hoping by telling you their location in the photo you might be able to match the other children to the names on the back.

Theresa married William R. Rodgers and they lived on Seldon Street.
