One of the original landowners and citizens of Baldwin Township, later Carrick Borough or Overbrook Borough. Legend has it that the Carrick area was once called Englertville because of the glass works owned by the Englerts. There is a street on Saw Mill Run Boulevard named Englert Street in Overbrook, possibly after him or his family.

This postcard is one of the cards that Milton S. Englert enjoyed handing out to friends and acquaintences.
