Our Name
- Fairhaven - the name of Overbrook Borough as it known in Baldwin Township.
- Overbrook - originally called Fairhaven before becoming a Borough

Cemeteries
- Zion Cemetery - Although technically not located in Overbrook, The Zion Cemetery is on Provost Road right past Frank St in Brentwood. Many Fairhaven residents are buried there including James and Ann (Provost) Phillips and many other family members are buried. See Provost Properties for more details.

Landmarks
- Eat 'n Park- The first location of Eat 'n Park Restaurant Chain located on Saw Mill Run Boulevard and the current location of Frank and Shirley's Restaurant
- Larry's Road House - a former mansion and said to be brothel the current building is a restaurant mistakenly said to be in the Brookline neighborhood but actually in Overbrook.
- Maytide Street - originally called Maine Street before Overbrook Borough and Carrick Borough became part of the City of Pittsburgh
- Nobles Lane - part of Fairhaven, later Overbrook Borough and part of Carrick Borough
- Overbrook Borough Building - also listed under Overbrook Fire House built and dedicated in 1929.

- Provost Properties - a excerpt from the Phillips Properties
- Reflectorville - Edgebrook Ave
- South Hills Coal Company - McNielly Road
- Utility Covers - Overbrook has a few manhole covers marked "Overbrook Borough" and several with "Baldwin Township."

- Accamando, Fran - Community organizer, author and Overbrook historian
- Anthony, Carol - Overbrook historian, Overbrook Community Council President and neighborhood activist.
- Batchelor, William - Sketch book of William Batchelor done in 1890. Also listed as Batchlor, William
- Elliott, Daniel - Daniel took over an old British Saw Mill on what is now called Saw Mill Run, about a mile south of the point in Pittsburgh.
- Hays, Milton D.Milton Hays - Overbrook Industrialist- Overbrook Industrialist
- Provost, Watson - Early land owner in Fairhaven along Saw Mill Run. Provost Road is named after him. See Phillips Properties. Daughter Ann Poullen Provost Provost, Ann Poullen married James Phillips the father of John M. Phillips, Watson P. Phillips and Robert F. Phillips of Carrick.
- Snowden, John M. - once owned a Saw Mill in the Fairhaven area and is currently buried in Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
